  Hi! I'm Carrie Somerfield, and my mission as your personal trainer and wellness  coach is to encourage you and to teach you exactly how to develop a safe and   well-rounded fitness program that will result in a way of living that is more   energetic, strong and peaceful.   Since becoming part of the fitness industry over twelve years ago, I have   developed a style of training that is not like many of the trainers I have observed.I don't believe you can just exercise and become healthy and strong. It also involves your values, your inner thoughts and what you do when you are away from the gym. Because it really involves the connection of your mind, body and spirit - I've designed a way to work with you that will achieve that total integration without pain and stress.The word "integrated' comes from the Latin "integrat" - which means "make whole." My training/coaching style with you has come from my own experience of training myself to be made whole. Being over 50, and having had 3 children, I understand the aging body, and have had to learn how to appreciate and work with what I CAN DO! I can teach and show you how to do the same.A healthy and integrated lifestyle is first birthed in your mind - that is, your inner self. It has to be an internal and conscious decision if you are going to be able to stick to the action necessary. The thought "I should" cannot be part of it - You will learn that it is very important to say, "This is what I WANT!"And injury prevention is paramount! Form and correct execution of exercises is essential in making sure you don't hurt yourself. That's where your coach/trainer comes in by encouraging you, but protecting and cautioning as well. Personal experience has helped me learn that lesson. And... (this is BIG)... It has to be FUN! There has to be something you really enjoy about this journey, or you won't continue. It is the fun part that adds to your ability to keep with it, and accomplish your goals. We're all different here, and that's what makes the process so challenging... and the discovery so FUN!
